The Human Resources Recruiter is an exempt professional position within the Human Resources Department at Jewish Community Services (JCS). This role is responsible for overseeing and managing JCS’s recruitment program, from sourcing and attracting candidates to successfully fill open positions. The Recruiter will handle the full recruitment cycle, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding. The Recruiter will be responsible for building relationships with community partners for sourcing of high-quality talent. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Recruitment:

• Handles all phases of the recruitment process from initiation to completion to include planning and defining the appropriate
recruitment methods, to filling the positions within the established hiring timeframe
• Collaborates with Department leaders and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, hiring requirements,
timeframe, and specific job objectives. Develops a recruitment plan to ensure the recruitment targets the best-qualified
applicants in order to have the necessary staffing is in place for critical organizational roles
• Provides guidance on issues related to the recruitment process, such as determining minimum qualifications, salary rate,
job posting requirements, and assists with the preparation of job descriptions
• Drafts and posts job advertisements in appropriate advertisement platforms to include internet job board, professional
journals and publications, and social media
• Collaborates with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. Schedules and coordinates on-site and/or video
interviews
• Reviews and approves interview questions to ensure they reflect the requirements of the position and compliance with EEO
guidelines
• Attends career fairs and coordinates all actives associated with the participation of such events
• Negotiates salary on behalf of the hiring department and extends job offers. Coordinates the hiring process including
collecting pre-employment documents, conducting reference checks and scheduling pre-employment drug testing and
background checks

Other:
• Assists with and/or handles complex Human Resource issues to include HR investigations, harassment and EEO concerns
• Conducts research on various human resources issues
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree. At least four (4) years of Human Resources experience with at least one year of recruitment experience.
• Personable, with strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and with all levels in the organization
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, handle multiple tasks
• Ability to exercise good judgment and sound problem-solving skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel, required
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
